AAC blogs to check out

As summer holidays get into full swing, you might have time for finding some new blogs to add to your reading lists. We've put together a blog round up, focussing on three of our go-to bloggers in the AAC field. Let us know if we have missed out on any of your favourites!

Northwest Augmentative Communication Society (NWACS) The Northwest Augmentative Communication Society (NWACS) is a non-profit organization focusing on educating and raising awareness about augmentative and alternative communication. Their blogs cover in-depth deep dives about AAC companies, honest and detailed app reviews and introductions to key topics in AAC for parents, professionals and AAC users.


Carole Zangari's blog has become a hub of great blogs and videos, with a huge catalogue of past blogs that are easily searched. Alongside regular themes, like her video of the week posts, there is a broad range of topics covered looking at implementation, AAC apps and software and great ideas and tips.


AAC Community is an effort to unite all individuals concerned with communication rights, from the team at Temple University's Institute on Disabilities. This is a useful blog covering overviews, for example, of the upcoming iOS 15 changes, through to updates on app sales Let us know your top blogs.
