We thought the new Shortcut feature on iOS devices would be a handy feature for people who use AAC apps to know about. An action is the component of a shortcut. In essence, it is a single step in a task. You can mix and match actions to create shortcuts that interact with the other apps and content on your iPhones and iPads, as well as interact with content or services online. Each shortcut is made up of one or more actions.
What is automation?
Automation is a particular type of shortcut that’s activated automatically by an event, rather than manually.
